Instructions
Dough
  1. Use the yeast, the water and 2 tbsp. of sugar mix together, Let yeast rise for about 15 minutes
  2. Mix all ingredients together
  3. Add flour to mix if dough sticks to walls
  4. let rise for 1 hour
Filling
  1. Mix all filling ingredients by hand
  2. Roll out the dough as thin as possible
  3. Spread filling out over the dough
  4. Roll into a log
  5. Cut in half lengthwise
  6. Twist and braid together
  7. Place on a greased pans
Crumb topping
  1. Mix all the crumb ingredients by hand, add the cumb to the top of the braided babka.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes
Recipe Notes

If you don't want to add the crumb to the top you can wash the babka once braided with an egg wash and sprinkle sesame seeds on top

Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, beat eggs, egg yolks, salt and olive oil.
  2. Little by little, incorporate cake meal until a ball of dough forms.
  3. Knead with palms for 5-10 minutes, dough should be firm and elastic.
  4. Cover in plastic wrap and let rest 10 minutes.
  5. For each serving, cut a small piece from pasta ball, roll with rolling pin as thin as possible.
  6. Using a knife, cut pasta into desired shapes.
  7. Cook in boiling salted water 3-4 minutes.

Gnocchi
  1. Bake potatoes on a bed of salt, peel while still hot, and pass through vegetable mill or potato ricer. Allow to cool completely.
  2. Mix potato starch, cake meal, salt, parmesan cheese, nutmeg in a medium bowl.
  3. In a separate large bowl, add cooled potatoes and mix with egg yolks.
  4. Add the cake meal mix to the potato mix, and fold until cake meal mix is completely incorporated.
  5. Roll and cut gnocchi into individual shapes.
  6. When ready to eat gnocchi, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add gnocchi, and cook 2 minutes.
  7. Toss with prepared tomato sauce.
Tomato Sauce
  1. In a large pan, heat olive oil. Add minced garlic and cook 1-2 minutes, just until fragrant.
  2. Add tomatoes, break them with a spoon, bring to a boil and then turn down to a simmer. Add salt, pepper and chili flakes to taste. Simmer sauce 25-30 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat, add 4 basil leaves per plate.

  1. Measure out ingredients
  2. Mix all ingredients in a stand mixer with dough hook attachment
  3. Remove dough, place in a bowl and let dough proof for min 25 minutes depending on temp. and humidity of the room.
  4. Roll out the dough and cut out the doughnuts
  5. Let the doughnuts proof again
  6. Then Fry turning half way, checking to see when they are golden brown and delicious

Maple Glaze
  1. Add all Ingredients to a saucepan
  2. Bring to a boil
  3. Stir till smooth
  4. Dip the doughnuts when hot
